Pattern: Yang Deficiency Wind

Key Symptoms: Dizziness and heavy-headedness, or Wind-Damp painful obstruction with pain in the bones and joints that can be neither flexed nor extended.
Secondary Symptoms: In acute cases pain may be severe and accompanied by spontaneous sweating, shortness of breath, urinary difficulty, strong aversion to drafts so that the patient will not uncover and slight oedema.

Bai Zhu 9g
Zhi Fu Zi 6g
Zhi Gan Cao 6g
Rou Gui 12g

In the UK Fu Zi must be substituted. The standard substitution for Bi syndrome patterns is Gui Zhi (Rou Gui already in this formula so maybe change some to Gui Zhi and/or Gan Jiang) and Xian Mao.

Preparation: Decoction. Source text advises to divide into three portions and drink over one day.

Actions: Warms the Channels, disperses Cold, strengthens the Middle Jiao, promotes the resolution of Dampness.
