Pattern: Externally contracted Warm Pathogen Disease with constrained Interior Heat

Key Symptoms: Fever with no chills, headache and thirst
Secondary Symptoms: Delirious speech



Ingredients
Chai Hu 6g
Ge Gen 9g
Chi Shao 6g
Huang Qin 9g
Zhi Mu 6g
Sheng Di Huang 12g
Mu Dan Pi 9g
Bei Mu 6g
Gan Cao 3g

Subsitutions:
If there is delirious speech Shi Gao should be added but this cannot be done in the UK. The best substitutions would be to borrow additions from other delirium formulas such Xi Jiao Di Huang Tang and Qing Ying Tang. Huang Lian and Xuan Shen, used as a substitute for various animal horns in these formulas could suffice, or Dan Zhu Ye and Dan Shen could also be suitable substitutes depending on the depth of the Heat.



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Releases the Muscle Layer and clears Heat
