Pattern: Shaoyang disorder with Phlegm-Heat in the chest

Key Symptoms: Fullness and focal distention in the chest and diaphragm that is painful on pressure with a bitter taste in the mouth

Tongue: Yellow coating
Pulse: Wiry and rapid



Ingredients
Chai Hu 3g
Ban Xia 9g (ginger processed)
Huang Lian 2.4g
Jie Geng 3g
Huang Qin 3g
Gua Lou Ren 15g
Zhi Ke 4.5g



Preparation: Prepared as a decoction with 4 drops of fresh ginger juice added to each bowl of strained liquid.

Actions: Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, expands the chest and diaphragm, harmonises and releases pathogens from the Shaoyang level
