Pattern: Wind-Cold constraining the Exterior with Phlegm-Heat in the interior

Key Symptoms: Coughing and wheezing with copious, thick, yellow sputum, laboured breathing
Secondary Symptoms: Simultaneous fever and chills

Tongue: Greasy, yellow coat
Pulse: Slippery, rapdi

Bai Guo 9g (21 pcs, dry fried)
Ma Huang 9g
Zi Su Zi 6g
Gan Cao 3g
Kuan Dong Hua 9g
Xing Ren 4.5g
Zhi Sang Bai Pi 9g
Huang Qin 4.5g (dry fried)
Zhi Ban Xia 9g

Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Disseminates and redirects the Lung Qi, arrests wheezing, clears Heat and transforms Phlegm

Contraindications: External Wind-Cold invasion with absence of sweating and internal Phlegm-Heat, or chronic asthma with Qi deficiency and a frail pulse
