Fu Ling Jiu

Pattern: Disharmony of the Middle Jiao with Spleen Qi deficiency and Dampness

Key Symptoms: Bodily weakness in the aftermath of disease, generalised lack of strength, chronic diarrhoea, chronic gastritis with lack of appetite, indigestion and distention.



Ingredients
Fu Ling 60g
Bai Jiu 1.3L

Subsitutions:
Bai Jiu (white alcohol) traditionally means distilled rice wine but can be substituted with any clear 40% spirit.



Preparation: Place Fu Ling in a large jar with 1.3L of alcohol and seal the lid for one week. Take 20ml twice per day.

Actions: Fortifies the Spleen and harmonises the Middle Jiao, drains Dampness and promotes urination, calms the Heart and settles the Shen.

Contraindications: Damp-Heat conditions and long term use due to the harmful effects on continuous alcohol consumption.
