Pattern: Heat constraint in Shaoyang that overcomes Yangming

Key Symptoms: Fever, bitter taste, dry throat, abdominal pain
Secondary Symptoms: Dysentery with pus, blood or sticky phlegm

Tongue: Red sides, yellow coat
Pulse: Flooding, or wiry, forceful and stirring in the middle position
Abdomen: Focal distention in the epigastrium, hypertonicity of rectus abdominis muscle

Huang Qin 9g
Shao Yao 9g
Zhi Gan Cao 3-6g
Da Zao 4pcs



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Clears Heat, alleviates dysentery, harmonises the middle burner, stops pain
