Category: Formulas that Reduce Food Stagnation

Pattern: Food stagnation that has begun to transform into Heat with Spleen and Stomach deficiency

Key Symptoms: Reduced appetite with indigestion, bloating, focal distention of the epigastrium and abdomen
Secondary Symptoms: Loose stools, fatigue

Tongue: Greasy, slightly yellow coating
Pulse: Deficient, frail
Abdomen: Discomfort in epigastrium, weak abdominal wall



Ingredients
Bai Zhu 15g (dry fried)
Fu Ling 12g
Ren Shen 9g
Shan Yao 6g
Rou Dou Kou 6g (roasted)
Shan Zha 6g
Shen Qu 6g (dry fried)
Mai Ya 6g (dry fried)
Mu Xiang 4g
Chen Pi 6g
Sha Ren 6g
Huang Lian 3g (wine fried)
Gan Cao 3g



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Strengthens the Spleen, reduces food stagnation, stops diarrhoea

Contraindications: Patterns of prominent excess
