Pattern: Spleen and Stomach Qi deficiency with Food Stagnation

Key Symptoms: Loss of appetite, loose stools, focal distention in the epigastrium

Tongue: White coating
Pulse: Deficient

Ju Pi 30g
Bai Zhu 60g (dry fried)
Zhi Shi 30g (bran fried)

Preparation: Grind the ingredients into a powder and form into pills with rice fried in He Ye (lotus leaf). Take 6-9g with water twice per day. Many formulations omit the fried rice. Can also be prepared as a decoction with an appropriate reduction of dosages.

Actions: Strengthens the Spleen and Stomach, reduces Food Stagnation
