Pattern: Malaria (Nue) that does not respond to other treatments

Key Symptoms: Alternating chills and fever, headache, sweating, abdominal pain and distention, nausea and vomiting, diarrhoea


Ingredients
Zhi Mu 100g
Chang Shan 100g
Cao Huo 100g
Zhi Gan Cao 100g
Gao Liang Jiang 60g
Wu Mei 50g



Preparation: Ground into powder and prepared as a draft by decocting 9g in 1 cup of water with 5 slices of Sheng Jiang and 1 piece of Da Zao until 1/3 has evaporated.

Actions: Checks malaria and treats Phlegm by warming the the Yang and draining Heat, generates fluids

Contraindications: Chang Shan is toxic in doses of 15-75g so care should be taken not to exceed the safe dose.
