Pattern: Liver Constraint transforming into Fire insulting Metal (the Intestines)

Key Symptoms: Chest fullness, pain in the hypochondria, abdominal fullness and pain, a sensation of wanting to discharge the bowels without actually needing to, or not properly emptying after having had a bowel movement.



Ingredients
Zhi Zi 9g
Bai Shao 3g
Dang Gui 3g
Chai Hu 1.2g
Mu Dan Pi 6g
Zhi Gan Cao 1.8g
Ju Hua 4.5g
Bo He 1.2g
Ju Bai 3g
Ju Ye 5pcs

Subsitutions:
Ju Bai is the white part of a tangerine peel, Ju Ye are the leaves. Short of manually sourcing these ingredients it may be advisable to replace them with Chen Pi.



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Clears the Liver, discharges Fire, dredges Constraint, disseminates Qi
