Pattern: Internal clumping of Phlegm-Heat

Key Symptoms: Coughing of yellow, viscous sputum that is difficult to expectorate, focal distention and a feeling of fullness in the chest and diaphragm, nausea

Tongue: Red with a greasy, yellow coat
Pulse: Slippery, rapid



Ingredients
Dan Nan Xing 9g
Zhi Ban Xia 9g
Gua Lou Ren 6g
Huang Qin 6g
Chen Pi 6g
Xing Ren 6g
Zhi Shi 6g
Fu Ling 6g

Subsitutions:
In the UK Dan Nan Xing should be replaced with Tian Zhu Huang or Tian Nan Xing and Zhu Ru.



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Clears Heat, transforms Phlegm, directs rebellious Qi downward, stops coughing
