Pattern: Stirring of internal Wind due to Yin deficiency

Key Symptoms: Convulsions, muscle spasms with alternating flexion and extension of the extremities, fatigue

Tongue: Deep red with scanty or peeled coating
Pulse: Deficient or frail

E Jiao 9g
Bai Shao 18g
Zhi Gan Cao 12g
Wu Wei Zi 6g
Shen Di Huang 18g
Mai Men Dong 18g
Huo Ma Ren 6g
Gui Ban 12g
Bie Jia 12g
Mu Li 12g

Subsitutions:
Several substitutions must be made to this formula in the UK:
E Jiao == Gou Qi Zi + Han Lian Cao
Gui Ban == Han Lian Cao + Nu Zhen Zi
Bie Jia == Qing Hao + Sheng Di Huang
Mu Li == Xuan Shen + Bao Shao + Wu Wei zi



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Nourishes Yin and extinguishes Wind

Contraindications: Yin and fluid deficiency with a vigorous pathogenic Qi
