Pattern: Blood stagnation due to old trauma or Cold-Damp Bi

Key Symptoms: Old traumatic injuries from hitting and falling, Cold-Damp low back and leg pain.


Ingredients
Ru Xiang 15g
Mo Yao 15g
Xue Jie 15g
Bei Mu 9g
Qiang Huo 15g
Mu Xiang 6g
Hou Po 9g
Zhi Chuan Wu 3g
Zhi Cao Wu 3g
Bai Zhi 24g
She Xiang 1.5g
Zi Jing Pi 24g
Xiang Fu 15g
Xiao Hui Xiang 9g
Zi Ran Tong 15g
Du Huo 15g
Xu Duan 15g
Chuan Xiong 15g
Mu Gua 15g
Rou Gui 9g
Dang Gui 24g

Subsitutions:
Several components may need to substituted or removed in the UK. Some standard choices would include:
Chuan Wu & Cao Wu == Xian Mao + Yin Yang Huo (could include Gan Jiang and Gui Zhi to warm the Middle and send to the peripheries too)
Zi Ran Tong == increase Xu Duan
She Xiang == Shi Chang Pu and increase Ru Xiang
Zi Jing Pi and Xue Jie might be hard to obtain too. They could be substituted with other Blood invigorating herbs or increasing the quantity of some of the existing ones.



Preparation: Grind the ingredients into a fine powder, then wrap 15g in a cloth bag and soak in 650ml of alcohol for 7-10 days. Drink a suitable amount at no fixed schedule.

Actions: Opens the Collaterals and invigorates the Blood

Contraindications: Caution should be taken with the young or middle aged or those with Damp-Heat conditions due to the consequences of long term alcohol consumption.
