Category: Formulas that Expel Dampness

Pattern: Externally contracted Wind-Cold with pre-existing Dampness and Stagnation in the middle Jiao

Key Symptoms: Fullness and stifling oppression in the chest, nausea and vomiting, diarrhoea
Secondary Symptoms: Fever and chills, headache, abdominal and epigastric pain, loss of taste, borborygmus

Tongue: White, greasy coating
Pulse: Moderate, slippery
Abdomen: Distention and discomfort in the epigastrium and abdomen

Chen Pi 9g
Zi Su Ye 9g
Bai Zhi 9g
Zhi Ban Xia 12g
Da Fu Pi 15g
Bai Zhu 9g
Fu Ling 15g
Jie Geng 9g
Zhi Gan Cao 3g
Sheng Jiang 2sl
Da Zao 1pc



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Releases the Exterior, transforms Dampness, regulates the Qi, harmonises the middle Jiao

Contraindications: Wind-Heat or deficiency Fire (without significant modification)
