San Yu He Shang Tang

(Wash to Mollify Trauma by Dispersing Stasis)

Pattern: Post-inflammatory stage of trauma

Key Symptoms: Bumps and bruises, swelling and severe pain, soft tissue injuries, broken bones and joint dislocations



Ingredients
Zhi Ma Qian Zi 15g
Hong Hua 15g
Ban Xia 15g (unprocessed)
Gu Sui Bu 9g
Gan Cao 9g
Cong Bai 30g

Subsitutions:
Ma Qian Zi is extremely toxic and may be substituted with Mu Bie Zi if legal or safety concerns are an issue.



Preparation: Heat the herbs in 5 cups of water and simmer for 20 minutes. Add 60g of rice vinegar and turn up the heat for approximately 5 minutes. Steam and soak the affected area or apply to a soak compress to the affected area 4-5 times per day.

Actions: Invigorates the Blood, dispels Stasis, relieves pain
