Category: Formulas that Treat Abscesses and Sores

Pattern: Toxic swellings with interior and exterior deficiency

Key Symptoms: "Unnamed toxic swellings, abscesses, flat abscesses", initial stage of neck tumours, breast abscesses or "breast rocks".

Pulse: Defiecient. May be flooding, moderate, submerged, slow, tight or thin.

In the UK Bing Lang must be substituted. The standard substitution would be Zhi Shi and Yi Li Ren. One version also adds Zao Jiao Ci.

Preparation: Equal amounts are to be decocted and taken warm, frequently, between meals.

Actions: Tonifies the Qi, nourishes the Blood, promotes the movement of Qi, thrusts out pus, dissipates swelling
