Shi Wei San

Pattern: Lin syndrome: stony painful urinary dribbling due to Damp-Heat obstructing the Lower Jiao

Key Symptoms: Rough urination accompanied by severe acute pain in the lower abdomen with small stones or sand in the urine. The pain ceases once the stones are expelled.

Shi Wei 12g
Dong Kui Guo 9g
Qu Mai 9g
Hua Shi 15g
Che Qian Zi 12g

In the UK Hua Shi must be substituted with Ze Xie and Chi Fu Ling.

Preparation: Ground into powder and taken in 9g doses with warm water. Can also be prepared as a decoction.

Actions: Clears Heat, promotes the resolution of Dampness, unblocks painful urinary dribbling, expels stones
