Pattern: Collapse due to Qi deficiency leading to severe Blood loss and devastated Yang

Key Symptoms: Excessive menstruation or uterine bleeding with pale watery blood accompanied by palpitations, shortness of breath, laconic speech, a sinking sensation in the lower abdomen, fatigue and a shiny pale complexion.

Tongue: Pale with a moist, thin coating
Pulse: Deficient, frail and forceless


Ingredients
Mi Zhi Huang Qi 9-15g
Ren Shen 9-15g
Zhi Gan Cao 3-6g
Chao Sheng Ma 1.5-2.1g
Bai Zhu 3-6g

Subsitutions:
Source text recommends adding Rou Gui, Zhi Fu Zi and Gan Jiang if there are signs and symptoms of Cold. In the UK Fu Zi is not allowed and is usually replaced with Rou Gui and Gan Jiang so the dosages of these should be high.



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Tonifies the Qi to tonify the Blood
