Category: Formulas that Tonify Qi

Pattern: Deficient Spleen with internally generated Dampness

Key Symptoms: Loose stools or diarrhoea, reduced appetite, distention and a stifling sensation in the chest and epigastrium, pallid and wan complexion
Secondary Symptoms: Coughing up copious amounts of white sputum, vomiting, dryness of the throat, bland taste in the mouth, weakness of the extremities, weight loss, oedema

Tongue: Pale body, white coat
Pulse: Thin and moderate, or deficient and moderate
Abdomen: soft abdomen with splashing sounds in the epigastrium

Ren Shen 15g
Bai Zhu 15g
Fu Ling 15g
Zhi Gan Cao 9g
Shan Yao 15g
Bian Dou 12g
Lian Zi 9g
Yi Yi Ren 9g
Sha Ren 6g
Jie Geng 6g



Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Augments the Qi, strengthens the Spleen, leaches out Dampness, stop diarrhoea

Contraindications: Heat from Yin deficiency
