Pattern: Closed disorder from Damp-Cold and Turbid Phlegm

Key Symptoms: 1. Sudden collapse, loss of consciousness and clenched jaw 2. Fullness, pain and a sensation of cold in the chest and abdomen, which may signal the impending sudden loss of consciousness or coma 3. Abdominal pain and focal distention in the chest, an urge to vomit and defecate without doing either, which in severe cases can lead to sudden loss consciousness or coma Pale complexion, purple lips, excessive mucus and saliva, cold extremities

Tongue: Pale with a slippery, greasy coating
Pulse: Submerged, slippery pulse

Bing Pian 15g
An Xi Xiang 30g
Mu Xiang 30g
Tan Xiang 30g
Chen Xiang 30g
Ru Xiang 15g
Ding Xiang 30g
Xiang Fu 30g
Bi Ba 30g
Shui Niu Jiao 200g
Zhu Sha 30g
Bai Zhu 30g
He Zi 30g

Subsitutions:
Several of the ingredients are no longer used due to toxicity or must be substituted in the UK for legal reasons:
She Xiang == Shi Chang Pu + Ru Xiang
Bing Pian == Shi Chang Pu + Yuan Zhi
Shui Niu Jiao == Xuan Shen + Huang Lian (3:1)
Zhu Sha == Hu Po



Preparation: Is traditionally ground into a powder and formed into 3g pills with honey. One pill is taken 1-2 times per day.

Actions: Warms and aromatically opens the orifices, prmotes the movement of Qi, transforms turbidity

Contraindications: Pregnancy, hot closed disorders.
