Pattern: Qi stagnation and Blood stasis from damage by the seven emotions

Key Symptoms: Stabbing chest and abdominal pain radiating downward into the lower back and flanks, or upward into the upper back and arms, piercing pain along the spine and severe spasms, late or irregular menstruation


Ingredients
Chao Yan Hu Suo 15g
Jiu Chao Dang Gui 15g
Chao Pu Huang 15g
Chi Shao 15g
Rou Gui 15g
Jiang Huang 9g
Ru Xiang 9g
Mo Yao 9g
Mu Xiang 9g
Zhi Gan Cao 7.5g



Preparation: Ground into powder and prepared as a draft by decocting 12g with 200ml of water and adding 7 slices of sheng jiang until 140ml remains, discarding the dregs.

Actions: Invigorates the Blood, moves the Qi, alleviates pain

Contraindications: Pregnancy
