Location:
0.5 - 1 cun lateral to the depression below the spinous process of the seventh cervical vertebra (C7, Dazhui Du-14).

Needling:
Perpendicular-oblique insertion towards the spine, 0.5 - 1 cun

TCM Actions:
Calms dyspnoea and wheezing and stops cough

TCM Indications:
  • Asthma, wheezing, cough, urticaria, pain of the upper back.

    Neuroanatomy:
    Superficial Innervation: Dorsal rami of C3 - C5
    Dermatome Segment: C4
    Deeper Structures: Dorsal rami of C8
