Category: Formulas that Expel Dampness

Pattern: Damp turbidity obstructing the Middle Jiao with Wind-Cold fettering the Exterior, or Sudden Turmoil Disorder

Key Symptoms: Vomiting, abdominal distention and fullness, fever and chills.
Secondary Symptoms: Also used for Sudden Turmoil Disorders with diarrhoea and vomiting.

Tongue: Thick, white, greasy coating
Abdomen: Distended


Ingredients

Hou Po
Cang Zhu
Huo Xiang
Zhi Ban Xia
Chen Pi
Gan Cao


Preparation: Equal amounts ground into powder and taken in 3-6g drafts before meals with Sheng Jiang.


Actions: Dries Dampness, transforms turbidity, directs rebellious Qi downwards, stops vomiting.
