Dan Shen Du Zhong Jiu

Ingredients

Du Zhong 30g
Dan Shen 30g
Chuan Xiong 30g
Bai Jiu 975ml

Subsitutions:
Bai Jiu (white alcohol) traditionally means rice wine but can be substituted with any other high strength spirit.


Preparation: Grind the herbs into a powder and place in a large jar with 975ml of alcohol and seal the lid for five nights. Open, remove the dregs and store for use. Take any amount one wishes at no fixed schedule.


Actions: Invigorates the Blood and opens the collaterals, tonifies the Liver and Kidneys

Contraindications: Damp-Heat conditions, pregnancy and long term in the young and middle aged use due to the harmful effects on continuous alcohol consumption.
