Pattern: Blood Stasis due to traumatic injury to the Pericardium Vital Points during the Xu 戌 hours of the Dog (7 - 9 pm)

Key Symptoms: Irritability, anxiety, depression and insomnia due to traumatic injury to the Pericardium Vital Points during the Xu 戌 Dog hours (7 - 9 pm).
Secondary Symptoms: The Vital Points associated with the Xu Pericardium Dog hours in the Wu Bei Zhi are: WailingSt-26, Jueyinshu Bl-14, Shenmai Bl-62 and Zhiyang Du-9.

Da Huang 3.75g
Mai Men Dong 6.24g
Dan Shen 3.75g
Sheng Di Huang 6.24g
Pu Huang 3.75g


Preparation: No preparation information is given in the original so may have been given internally or as a poultice.


Actions: Regulates Blood, stops bleeding and alleviates pain, clears Heat, nourishes Heart Blood and Yin, calms Shen.

Symptoms have been inferred from the organs which are affected and the effects of the herbs prescribed as the original provides nothing beyond these formulas being used for injury to these channels.
