Pattern: Qi abandonment from loss of Blood, Blood deficiency from long term illness

Key Symptoms: Hot sensation in the muscles, red face, irritability, thirst with a desire for warm beverages
Secondary Symptoms: Fever, headache, slow healing wounds and sores

Tongue: Pale
Pulse: Flooding, large, deficient
Abdomen: Weak in depth but may have superficial tightness


Ingredients

Huang Qi 30g
Dang Gui 6g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Tonifies Qi, generates Blood

Contraindications: Tidal fever from Yin deficiency or Yangming Heat



Notes:
This type of fever is one that results from Blood loss such as those seen post-partum or after surgery.
