Subsitutions:
There are several versions of this formulation often combined with formulas like Yin Qiao San and, if bought from China, often containing drugs such as caffeine, chlortrimeton (an antihistamine), and acetaminophen (Tylenol) as well as the traditional herbs (Blalack & Rosenberg, 2012)


Preparation: Ground into powder and formed into pills


Actions: Disperses Wind, clears Heat, resolves toxicity

Often used for early stages of colds and flu regardless of the pattern.
