Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan

Category: Formulas that Regulate Blood

Pattern: Blood stasis in the lower abdomen

Key Symptoms: Lower abdominal pain, pain and masses associated with gynaecological disorders, tendency to feel cold
Secondary Symptoms: Headaches, dizziness, neck tension or stiffness, hot flushes with cold feet, bruising

Tongue: Dark body, stasis spots, distended sublingual veins
Pulse: Wiry or rough and deep
Abdomen: Pain on palpation of the lower abdomen (more severe on left), tenderness on palpation around the umbilicus, hypertonicity of rectus abdominis muscle in the lower abdomen


Ingredients

Gui Zhi 9g
Fu Ling 9g
Chi Shao 9g
Mu Dan Pi 9g
Tao Ren 9g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Invigorates the Blood, transforms Blood stasis, reduces fixed abdominal masses

Contraindications: Caution during pregnancy or post-partum
