Pattern: Goitre (Ying Liu) due to stagnation of Damp, Phlegm, Qi and Blood

Key Symptoms: Nodules in the centre of the neck that are rock-like and hard, immobile, cause no change in the colour of the skin and do not ulcerate.

Tongue: Thin greasy coating
Pulse: Wiry and slippery


Ingredients

Hai Zao 9g
Kun Bu 9g
Hai Dai 9g
Zhe Bei Mu 9g
Zhi Ban Xia 9g
Du Huo 9g
Chuan Xiong 9g
Dang Gui 9g
Qing Pi 6g
Chen Pi 4.5g
Lian Qiao 9g
Gan Cao 3g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Transforms Phlegm, softens hard masses, reduces and dissipates goitre.

Contraindications: Cases where the swelling has ulcerated or in patients with significant deficiency.
