Hei Dou Bai Zhi Jiu

Pattern: Blood deficiency with Dampness obstructing the channels

Key Symptoms: Foot pain and swelling, stiffness and weakness, dizzness, sinew spasms, inhibited urination


Ingredients

Hei Dou 250g
Bai Zhi 30g
Yi Yi Ren 60g
Bai Jiu 1.95L

Subsitutions:
Bai Jiu (white alcohol) traditionally means rice wine but can be substituted with any other high strength spirit.


Preparation: Grind the ingredients and place in a large jar with 1.95L of alcohol and seal the lid. After three nights open, remove the dregs and store for use. Take a suitable amount at appropriate times. It is common to feel the alcohol.


Actions: Disinhibits urination and disperses swelling, nourishes the Blood and harmonises the Liver, transforms Dampness and eliminates obstruction.

Contraindications: Damp-Heat conditions, pregnancy and long term in the young and middle aged use due to the harmful effects on continuous alcohol consumption.
