Hong Lan Hua Jiu

Key Symptoms: Piercing pain in the abdomen related to menstruation


Ingredients

Hong Hua 30g
Bai Jiu 200ml

Subsitutions:
Bai Jiu (white alcohol) traditionally means distilled rice wine but can be substituted with any clear 40% spirit.


Preparation: Place the Hong Hua in 200ml of alcohol and boil until reduced by half. Take half (50ml) warm as needed. If the pain does not stop take the other half.


Actions: Invigorates the Blood and dispels stasis

Contraindications: Pregnancy or long term use.
