Pattern: Qi stagnation and Blood stasis obstructing the Collaterals

Key Symptoms: Pain in various locations such as the chest, stomach, abdomen, back, leg or arm, bruising or swelling due to traumatic injury, rheumatic pain, fixed abdominal masses, internal or external ulceration

Tongue: Dark body or one with stasis spots
Pulse: Wiry or rough


Ingredients

Dang Gui 15g
Dan Shen 15g
Ru Xiang 15g
Mo Yao 15g


Preparation: Usually prepared as a decoction or ground into a powder and taken in four equal portions with warm wine.


Actions: Invigorates the Blood, dispels Blood stasis, unblocks the Collaterals, alleviates pain

Contraindications: Pregnancy
