Pattern: Kidney Yang deficiency failing to transform fluids leading to dryness in the intestines

Key Symptoms: Constipation, clear and copious urine, low back pain
Secondary Symptoms: Generalised weakness, sensation of cold in the back

Tongue: Pale body, thin white coat
Pulse: Deep and slow, or deep and rough
Abdomen: Weak and cold lower abdomen


Ingredients

Rou Cong Rong 6-9g
Dang Gui 9-15g
Niu Xi 6g
Ze Xie 4.5g
Zhi Ke 3g
Sheng Ma 1.5-3g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Warms the Kidneys, nourishes the Blood, augments the Jing, unblocks the Bowels

Contraindications: Constipation due to Heat in the intestines
