Pattern: Kidney Yang deficiency with accumulation of water

Key Symptoms: Oedema of the legs, aversion to cold, cold extremities, scanty urination, soreness of the lower back

Tongue: Pale, swollen, tooth-marked with a white coating
Pulse: Submerged, wiry pulse
Abdomen: Deficient and cold below the umbilicus


Ingredients

Shu Di Huang 15g
Shan Zhu Yu 30g
Shan Yao 30g (dry fried)
Ze Xie 30g
Fu Ling 30g
Mu Dan Pi 30g
Rou Gui 15g
Bao Fu Zi 15g
Chuan Niu Xi 15g (wine washed)
Che Qian Zi 30g


Preparation: Ground into powder and made into pills with honey, then taken on an empty stomach with rice water.


Actions: Warms the Yang, tonifies the Kidneys, assists the Qi in transforming water, promotes urination, reduces oedema
