Modified Restore the Pulse Decoction

Category: Formulas that Tonify Qi and Blood

Pattern: Yangming disorders where purging has eliminated Heat but depleted Yin and fluids

Key Symptoms: Fever, red face, heat in the palms and soles (in severe cases the whole hands and feet), dry mouth and tongue

Pulse: Large and deficient


Ingredients

Zhi Gan Cao 18g
Sheng Di Huang 18g
Bai Shao 18g
Mai Men Dong 15g
Huo Ma Ren 9g (Crushed)
E Jiao 9g (Dissolve into Strained Decoction)

Subsitutions:
In the UK E Jiao must be substituted with Han Lian Cao and Gou Qi Zi.


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Nourishes the Blood, preserves the Yin, generates fluids, moistens dryness.
