Pattern: Traumatic Injury resulting in Blood loss

Key Symptoms: Injuries that result in excessive bleeding, dizziness, and fear


Ingredients

Chuan Xiong 9g
Dang Gui 12g
Bai Shao 12g
Sheng Di Huang 12g
Dang Shen 12g
Cang Zhu 12g
Fu Ling 12g (ground)
Gan Cao 10g
Long Chi 25g (fried)
Mo Yao 12g
Niu Huang 10g (正牛胆星 "True Ox Gall Star")
Ru Xiang 10g (granulated)


Preparation: Cook in three bowls of water and drink with half a cup of rice wine.


Actions: Tonfies the Blood and Qi, stops Bleeding and breaks up Blood Stasis.



Notes:
Supplements to add for injury to specific body parts:

For head injuries:
add Bai Zhi, Chuan Xiong, Huang Jing Zi and Ma Huang (or Huang Ma, Jute which seems less likely) 9g each

For the midsection:
add Zhi Ke, Jie Geng, Jiang Can, Yu Jin and Yan Hu Suo 9g

For the lower body:
add Da Huang, Zhi Shi and Niu Xi 9g each

For internal energy:
add Hou Po, Xiang Fu and Mu Xiang

For the hand:
add Jie Geng and Gui Zhi

For the waist:
add Du Zhong

For the foot:
add Mu Gua and Niu Xi
