Pattern: Upward overflow of bile due to anger, or overabundance of Gallbladder Pure Heat

Key Symptoms: Irritability, bitter taste in the mouth, periods of feverishness alternating with a sensation of normal temperature


Ingredients

Long Dan Cao 1.5g
Huang Qin 2.1g
Zhi Zi 1.5g
Chai Hu 3g
Ren Shen 1.5g
Mai Men Dong 1.5g
Tian Men Dong 1.5g
Huang Lian 1.5g
Zhi Mu 1.5g
Gan Cao 1.5g
Wu Wei Zi 10pc


Preparation: Originally ground into powder and prepared as a draft by boiling with water to be taken apart from meals. Can also be prepared as a decoction by increasing the dosages appropriately.


Actions: Clears the Liver, drains Fire, enriches the Yin, generates fluids
