Clear the Heart and Cool the Diaphragm Powder

Pattern: Heat-Toxin accumulating in the Qi level of the Upper Jiao

Key Symptoms: Unremitting fever, thirst, irritability with red, swollen and macerated throat

Tongue: Red body with a yellow coating


Ingredients

Lian Qiao 120g
Huang Qin 30g
Bo He 30g
Zhi Zi 30g
Shi Gao 60g
Jie Geng 30g
Gan Cao 30g

Subsitutions:
In the UK Shi Gao must be substituted. Zhi Mu should suffice in this instance.


Preparation: Originally ground into powder and taken in 9g doses.


Actions: Cools the diaphragm, drains Heat
