Sang Ju Zhu Ye Cha

Key Symptoms: Aversion to cold, fever, headache, body pain, nasal congestion or runny nose, mild swelling of the cheek without redness.

Tongue: Thin white coating
Pulse: Floating and rapid


Ingredients

Sang Ye 5g
Ju Hua 5g
Dan Zhu Ye 30g
Bai Mao Gen 30g
Bo He 3g
Bai Sha Tang 20g


Preparation: Place all the ingredients into a cup, pour over boiling water and leave to soak for 10 minutes. Alternatively boil the herbs for 5 minutes, add sugar and drink freely as a tea. Use 1 packet per day.


Actions: Clears Heat, dispels Wind, resolves the Exterior.



Notes:
While Zong and Liscum (1996) are the published source, the formulas they present are simple folk remedies and likely much older.
