Category: Formulas that Expel Dampness

Pattern: Shaoyin-Taiyang Cold-Damp Bi damaging the waist and Kidneys

Key Symptoms: Injury and pain in the lower back and abdomen, heavy sensation in the body, paralysis
Secondary Symptoms: Normal appetite, absence of thirst, copious urine or painful urination, clear nasal discharge

Tongue: Pale with a white moist coating
Pulse: Submerged, thin and moderate


Ingredients

Gan Cao
Gan Jiang
Fu Ling
Bai Zhu
Fu Zi (add if Cold)
Rou Gui (optional)
Ze Xie (optional)
Du Zhong (optional)
Huai Niu Xi (optional)


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Warms the Spleen and overcomes Dampness

Contraindications: Damp-Heat



Notes:
This is essentially the same as Gan Cao Gan Jiang Fu Ling Bai Zhu Tang from the Shang Han Lun with some optional additions (the base formula is only the first 4 herbs).
