Category: Formulas that Reduce Food Stagnation

Pattern: Food Stagnation that cannot be purged but must be gradually reduced and guided out

Key Symptoms: Abdominal distention, nausea, loss of appetite
Secondary Symptoms: This formula can be used for several patterns. These include:
Fullness and distention caused by eating excessively Cold foods
Focal distention with malarial symptoms such as alternating chills and fever
Recovery from illness where Turbid Qi or Fire has not been cleared
Vomiting and focal distention in children
Pox and papular rashes accompanied by abdominal distention.


Ingredients

Chen Pi 3-6g
Shan Zha 6g
Fu Ling 4.5g
Hou Po 4.5g
Gan Cao 1.5g
Bian Dou 6g
Sheng Jiang 3-5sl


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Transforms Dampness and eliminates accumulations
