Pattern: Lurking Heat in the Lungs

Key Symptoms: High, clear-sounding non-productive cough, wheezing, fever and skin that feels hot to the touch, dry mouth

Tongue: Red with yellow coat
Pulse: Thin, rapid


Ingredients

Sang Bai Pi 30g (dry fried)
Di Gu Pi 30g
Zhi Gan Cao 3g
Jing Mi 15-30g


Preparation: Grind into a powder and cook with the rice and take before meals. May also be prepared as a decoction with 1/3 of the dosage.


Actions: Drains Heat from the Lungs and calms wheezing

Contraindications: Coughing and wheezing due to Wind-Cold, Wind-Heat or Damp-Phlegm
