Pattern: Heart Blood deficiency

Key Symptoms: Disquiet, apprehensiveness, being easily frightened, anxiety, palpitations, insomnia, dream disturbed sleep


Ingredients

Huang Qi 4.5g
Fu Shen 4.5g
Fu Ling 4.5g
Ban Xia 3.5g (fermented)
Dang Gui 4.5g
Chuan Xiong 4.5g
Yuan Zhi 3g (ginger prepared)
Suan Zao Ren 3g (dry fried)
Rou Gui 3g
Bai Zi Ren 3g
Wu Wei Zi 3g
Ren Shen 3g
Zhi Gan Cao 1.5g
Sheng Jiang 5sl
Da Zao 2pc


Preparation: Decoction. Preferably taken before meals.


Actions: Augments the Qi, tonifies and harmonises the Blood, nourishes the Heart, calms the Shen, transforms Phlegm

Contraindications: Generally agreed this is for Blood deficiency without Yin deficiency
