Pattern: Food stagnation and Dampness constraining and obstructing the Middle Jiao.

Key Symptoms: Epigastric and abdominal distention and fullness, gummy stools with irregular defecation


Ingredients

Huo Xiang 6g
Hou Po 6g
Xing Ren 6g
Fu Ling Pi 6g
Chen Pi 3g
Shen Qu 4.5g
Mai Ya 4.5g
Yin Chen Hao 6g
Da Fu Pi 3g

Subsitutions:
In the UK Da Fu Pi must be substituted with Zhi Shi and Yu Li Ren. Da Huang could also be added to increase the purgative potential of this formula.


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Spreads and facilitates the flow of Qi in the Middle Jiao, transforms Dampness and reduced food stagnation
