Yi Shen Ming Mu Jiu

Boost the Kidneys and Brighten the Eyes Wine

Key Symptoms: Tinnitus, vertigo, lower back soreness and tired feet, fatigued spirit, decline in strength


Ingredients

Fu Pen Zi 50g
Ba Ji Tian 35g
Rou Cong Rong 35g
Yuan Zhi 35g
Chuan Niu Xi 35g
Wu Wei Zi 35g
Xu Duan 35g
Shan Zhu Yu 30g
Bai Jiu 1.3L

Subsitutions:
Bai Jiu (white alcohol) traditionally means distilled rice wine but can be substituted with any clear 40% spirit.


Preparation: Grind the herbs into powder and place in a large jar with 1.3L of alcohol for five days in the spring and summer and seven in the autumn and winter. Open, remove the dregs and add 1.3L of cold water. Take 10-15ml warm on an empty stomach each morning and evening. Should be taken for a prolonged period.


Actions: Boosts the Kidneys and supplements the Liver, nourishes the Heart, improved the hearing and brightens the eyes, restores colour to the cheeks.

Contraindications: Damp-Heat conditions and long term in the young and middle aged use due to the harmful effects on continuous alcohol consumption.
