Pattern: Blood Stasis and Heat in the Lower Jiao

Key Symptoms: Intestinal wind, bleeding haemorrhoids or fistulas, prolapsed rectum, uterine bleeding, bleeding during childbirth, fixed abdominal pain


Ingredients

Dang Gui 6g
Chai Hu 5g
Huang Qin 3g
Gan Cao 3g
Sheng Ma 1g
Da Huang 1g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Clears Heat and drains Stagnation, cools the Blood and resolves Toxicity



Notes:
Similar to Huai Hua San but with greater focus on moving Blood and directing Yang upward but weaker action on clearing Heat and stopping Bleeding.
