Pattern: Lung and Kidney Yin deficiency from Wasting and Thirsting disorder (Xiao Ke) of the Upper Jiao (Shang Xiao)

Key Symptoms: Irritability with thirst, urinary frequency, dry mouth, increased appetite, weight loss

Tongue: Red and dry
Pulse: Large and rapid


Ingredients

Mai Men Dong 37.5g (remove centre)
Ren Shen 37.5g
Fu Ling 37.5g
Huang Qi 37.5g (half honey fried, half untreated)
Wu Mei 37.5g (roasted)
Gan Cao 37.5g
Tian Hua Fen 56g
Ge Gen 56g


Preparation: Ingredients are ground into a powder and mixed with refined honey to make pills the size of a large marble. One is taken with warm water.


Actions: Augments the Qi, nourishes the Yin, generates Yang Fluids
