Pattern: Severe Stage Qi and Ying Both Blazing from Coronavirus infection

Key Symptoms: Hot fever, thirst, shortness of breath, delirium and unconsciousness
Secondary Symptoms: Blurred vision, spotted rash, vomiting blood, nosebleed, convulsions in the limbs

Tongue: Crimson with little or no coating
Pulse: Deep, fine and rapid, or floating, large and rapid


Ingredients

Gan Cao 6g (raw, decocted first)
Shi Gao 30-60g (raw, decocted first)
Shui Niu Jiao 30g (decocted first)
Zhi Mu 30g
Sheng Di Huang 30-60g
Chi Shao 30g
Xuan Shen 30g
Lian Qiao 15g
Mu Dan Pi 15g
Huang Lian 6g
Dan Zhu Ye 12g
Ting Li Zi 15g

Subsitutions:
Several herbs have to be substituted in the UK but the formula can be used as a base with which to derive others.


Preparation: Decoction. First decoct Sheng Gan Cao (Glycyrrhizae Radix) and Shui Niu Jiao (Bubali Cornu), then apply other pieces, boiled with 100-200 ml water, finish the dose(s) in 2-4 times across the day, orally or nasally.


Actions: Clears Heat from the Qi and Ying levels.
