Shi Gao 30g
Ren Shen 6g
Mai Men Dong 9-18g
Zhi Ban Xia 9g
Zhi Gan Cao 3-6g
Jing Mi 12-15g

Subsitutions:
Shi Gao is difficult to substitute but in this instance Zhi Mu will assist the formula in clearing Heat and generating fluids.

Preparation: Decoction.

Actions: Clears Heat, generates fluids, augments the Qi, harmonises the Stomach

Contraindications: Febrile diseases where the normal and pathogenic Qi are abundant, when the fever is high or the fluids are not yet damaged.

Notes:
One liang is taken as 3g in modern sources but in Eastern Han times it was equivalent to 13.875g. This means that the dosages in classical formulae could have been more than 4x what is given today making them far higher than recommended safe dosages today but prompts consideration of what an effective dose may be (He, 2013).
