Pattern: Kidney Yin deficiency with Liver constraint turning into Fire

Key Symptoms: Indistinct burning pain in the flanks, irritability, bouts of anger, dry mouth with bitter taste, insomnia or dream disturbed sleep, dry stools, burning pain in the epigastric area, gnawing hunger, acid reflux, soreness and weakness of the back and knees, dizziness, headaches, early periods

Tongue: Red with little coating
Pulse: Wiry, thin and rapid

Shu Di Huang 15g
Shan Zhu Yu 12g
Shan Yao 12g
Mu Dan Pi 9g
Fu Ling 9g
Ze Xie 6g
Chai Hu 6g
Bai Shao 12g
Zhi Zi 9g
Suan Zao Ren 12g
Dang Gui 9g


Preparation: Decoction.


Actions: Enriches the Yin and clears the Liver
